In this story’s project brief we were asked us to tell the story of a Gen Z female athlete who is making a meaningful difference. Our team’s pick: Noor Abukaram. In 2019, she was disqualified from her high school’s regional cross country meet because her hijab was considered a uniform violation. Now, she’s the founder of the #LetNoorRun campaign and recently passed an anti-discrimination bill in the Ohio Senate. Still a daily runner, she was the perfect person to capture the spirit of these empowering Nike pieces and encourage viewers to shine bright.

Duties: Working alongside the art team during pitching, talent sourcing, casting, and creative development in order to create a cohesive story between narrative and visuals. Interviewing talent about the theme and developing a copy toolkit with campaign headlines, pull quotes, and story direction. Overseeing all revision rounds and providing final eyes before delivery.
